I remember a moment I first saw a fig tree. It was tall, with figs on it and I will never forget my emotion about a shape of its leafs. It was incredible. Such a beautiful moment somewhere in Apulia.

I saw another fig trees later in Trentino-Alto Adige region and I was so surprised that it is possible to grow figs even in the north. But what is more important - figs have its own magic, it is so special. The taste, the shape, a size of the trees. You can eat it fresh or enjoy a marmalade later. So, yeah, figs are just as important as citrus trees in Italy. Definitely.
